The Downtown Budapest Guided Tour is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Tours are available 10.30 am (English only). Please book in advance to secure your places.
The Tour goes at all weather conditions, rains or shines.

Downtown Budapest Guided Walking Tour
The Downtown Budapest Guided Tour starts from the City centre (close to the Opera Building) and the first stop is St Stephen Basilica. Get to know the history of the basilica and the nearby attractions such as the Danube Promenade with various statues. The walking tour provides excellent photo opportunities along the way, admire the Danube with the Buda Castle and the most beautiful riverside buildings and palaces.
The Danube Promenade offers panorama to the Buda Castle Hill and attractions like the Buda Castle, Fishermen’s Bastion, or Matthias Church. Next, the tour visits the Inner City Parish Church and to the ruins of the old Roman fortress called Contra-Aquincum. Enter in one of the hidden local gardens, visit the famous Vaci shopping street and the beloved market, the historical Great Market Hall. Get to know the Market Hall and the Hungarian Shopping traditions during the fun 2 hours tour.

At Budapest Tickets we respect our Customers, so we have created a user-friendly ticket policy:
- Ticket prices show the actual and final price, there is no extra charge for payments. Likewise, if you wish to update a ticket (subject to availability), we do not charge extra costs for handling the date change.
- Tickets are no print: you can show your e-ticket on your phone to check-in.
- Tickets are sent to the email address that you provide when filling in the booking form for the program of your choice. Please double check your email before sending the form, or contact us via email if you feel that your email address may have been misspelt, and the digital ticket will be sent to your correct address. If you have not received your ticket, please always check your junk mail folder before contacting us at info [at] budapesttickets [dot] com. We are happy to assist with re-sending the ticket or providing information if you should have further questions.
- Tickets are sent and managed in our online system to follow all details / changes as accurately as possible. We do not accept phone reservations or requests of change over the phone to minimise misunderstandings.
- All tickets clearly show the name, program, payment ID, address / meeting point/ pier the hour of start and end. In addition, each e-ticket includes a last-minute phone number, if you should have difficulties with navigation / time. Please note that programmes start at the hours as advertised. Late arrival for the programme is not accepted, although we will try our best to help you join the tour, we need to take into consideration other guests’ programmes and schedules in Budapest.
