The Taste of Hungary Walking and Tasting Tour is available from 2 pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays (April – October) and on Fridays (November – March). Please book in advance to secure your places.
Taste of Hungary Walking and Tasting Tour Budapest
The tour starts in the city centre of Budapest and the first stop is Downtown Market Hall with Hungarian Cheese and Salami Tastings. Get to know the bases of the Hungarian Cuisine and the traditions along the way. The Taste of Hungary Walking and Tasting Tour continues through the beautiful Jewish Quarter where the Langosh and Kolbasz tasting takes place (Kiraly Street and Hajos Street). After the spicy meat bites, guest can try the sweet temptations of Kurtoskalacs (Chimney Cake) and Flodni in the Andrassy Avenue and Wesselenyi Street. The tour ends in Kiraly Street with Palinka tasting. Palinka is Hungary’s favourite brandy made from various fruits.
Please wear comfortable shoes as the tour includes a nice walk of appr. 3 kilometres.
Weather conditions – the Taste of Hungary Walking and Tasting Tour goes in all weather conditions, rainy or sunny weather.

- Ticket prices show the actual and final price, there is no extra charge for payments. Likewise, if you wish to update a ticket (subject to availability), we do not charge extra costs for handling the date change.
- Tickets are no print: you can show your e-ticket on your phone to check-in.
- Tickets are sent to the email address that you provide when filling in the booking form for the program of your choice. Please double check your email before sending the form, or contact us via email if you feel that your email address may have been misspelt, and the digital ticket will be sent to your correct address. If you have not received your ticket, please always check your junk mail folder before contacting us at info [at] budapesttickets [dot] com. We are happy to assist with re-sending the ticket or providing information if you should have further questions.
- Tickets are sent and managed in our online system to follow all details / changes as accurately as possible. We do not accept phone reservations or requests of change over the phone to minimise misunderstandings.
- All tickets clearly show the name, program, payment ID, address / meeting point the hour of start and end. In addition, each e-ticket includes a last-minute phone number, if you should have difficulties with navigation / time. Please note that programmes start at the hours as advertised. Late arrival for the programme is not accepted, although we will try our best to help you join the tour, we need to take into consideration other guests’ programmes and schedules in Budapest.
