The Ideal Bus Tour City Centre and Buda Castle Budapest is available every day, even on holidays. Tours are available twice a day:  from 10 am or from 2.30 pm. Please book in advance to secure your seats. The default language is English but German tours are also available every day (Italian and Spanish languages are also available, please book in advance. (Italian tours are available: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Spanish tours are available: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday).

Please note that the tour runs in one language, we recommend small group bookings at least 7 days in advance, so alternative language can be arranged.

Ideal Bus Tour City Centre and Buda Castle Budapest

The Ideal Tour will take you to the most beautiful spots and attractions of Budapest while introducing Hungarian History and more. Get to know the Pest and the Buda side and the most iconic bridges on the Danube and gems other tour do not include.

The tour starts in the city centre and you can admire Szechenyi Chain Bridge, Elisabeth Bridge, the beautiful Downtown Parish Church, the Great Market Hall, the National Museum and the largest Synagogue of Europe from outside. Andrassy Avenue, the St Stephen’s Basilica, and the Opera House are also visited on the way to Heroes’ Square where the statues of the Hungarian Kings and dukes can be found. In the nearby City Park guests can get to know the Budapest Zoo, Vajdahunyad Castle and the palace of Szechenyi Spa Baths. After the pleasant walk, the bus takes guests to the Buda side and stop at the Buda Castle District with attractions like Matthias Church and Fishermen’s Bastion. On the Buda side, Gellert Hill will be also visited and you can admire the marvellous panorama from the Citadel. The tour will take you back to the Pest side through Elisabeth Bridge where the tour ends.

  • Tickets are sent to the email address that you provide when filling in the booking form for the program of your choice. Please double check your email before sending the form, or contact us via email if you feel that your email address may have been misspelt, and the digital ticket will be sent to your correct address. If you have not received your ticket, please always check your junk mail folder before contacting us at info [at] budapesttickets [dot] com. We are happy to assist with re-sending the ticket or providing information if you should have further questions.
  • Tickets are sent and managed in our online system to follow all details / changes as accurately as possible. We do not accept phone reservations or requests of change over the phone to minimise misunderstandings.
  • All tickets clearly show the name, program, payment ID, address / meeting point the hour of start and end. In addition, each e-ticket includes a last-minute phone number, if you should have difficulties with navigation / time. Please note that programmes start at the hours as advertised. Late arrival for the programme is not accepted, although we will try our best to help you join the tour, we need to take into consideration other guests’ programmes and schedules in Budapest.
